unsav•d is two people building something they use themselves. These terms are short because the arrangement is simple.

Agreeing to this

Using unsav•d means agreeing to these terms and to the privacy page beside them. You have to be at least 16. If you do not agree, the app is not for you, and that is fine.

Early access

The app is unfinished. Things will change, move and occasionally be taken out. We may change what it does and who can use it, and we will tell you before any of it costs money.

No promises about uptime

It runs on a small budget, watched by two people who have other jobs. We do not promise it will be up, and we do not promise it will go on existing. If we have to stop running it, we will give you notice and a way to take your library with you.

Your account

Your account is your email address and the codes we send to it, so whoever can read that inbox can sign in as you: keep it yours. The device tokens you make on the settings page send reels into your library and nobody else’s, and each one can be revoked there the moment you stop trusting the device it lives on. What is done with your account is on you, unless we did it.

What is yours

Your categories, your titles, your notes and the details you gave us are yours. We do not claim them, we do not sell them, and we do not use them to build anything of our own. You can export them or delete them from the settings page whenever you like.

What you let us do with them is only what running the app needs: store them, show them back to you, search them for you, put them in your export, and count them without their contents in the analytics. That permission ends when you delete them.

What is Instagram's

The reels are not ours and not yours. Your library keeps a link to each one, its caption, the name of whoever posted it and a copy of the cover image, so that you can find the reel again. It is a personal index of things you already saved, for you to use yourself. The reels themselves stay under Instagram's own terms.

Using it fairly

Save your own reels: the ones you scrolled past on your own saved page, or shared from your own phone. Do not point it at anyone else's account, do not use it to collect reels in bulk, and do not try to get around Instagram's limits or ours. The extension never scrolls for you, and making it do so is out of bounds. Nor is it for breaking the app or reaching another person's library.

What we do not promise

The app comes as it is. We do not promise it is free of mistakes, that a summary or a tag is right, that a cover will always load, or that Instagram will keep working the way it does today. Instagram can change its pages tomorrow and the extension may stop seeing reels until we catch up.

If something goes wrong, our responsibility to you is limited to what you have paid us for the app, which today is nothing. We are not liable for a library that is lost, for a reel you can no longer find, or for anything that follows from using the app. Export your library now and then; it is the one copy you control.

Ending it

You can delete your account from the settings page whenever you like, and that is the end of it. We can close an account that is being used against the rules above, or that is costing more than this project can carry, and we will say why.

Which law

These terms are under the law of Ontario, Canada, and any dispute about them goes to the courts there. If you are somewhere whose law gives you rights that cannot be signed away, you keep them.

When these change

The date at the top moves when these terms change. A change that alters what you can do or what we owe you, we will put in front of you in the app or by email before it applies. Going on using the app after that is agreeing to the new version.
